FAQs
I’m not recieving emails from Occasionall Staff or they’re going to junk.
We are currently experiencing issues with emails sent through the FestivApp being directed to spam folders in Outlook, Hotmail and Yahoo. While we are working on a solution, it may take some time to resolve. In the meantime, if you use Outlook, Hotmail, or Yahoo, please move our emails from your junk or spam folder to your inbox and add us to your contact list. This will ensure you receive future communications directly.
How do I sign up?
To become a member of our team, you’ll need to sign up to our newsletter. You will then be the first to hear about any new events that we have work available.
Create your Occasionall account. Once you have created your account you’ll be able to view our job board and apply for jobs!
How many hours can I work?
Work is fully flexible, you can work as much or as little as you desire. Although, we require you to have at least one day off weekly and work no more than 60 hours per week (if you opt out of the Working Time Directive).
Is travel/accommodation included?
Our staff are responsible for making their way to and from the event, travel and accommodation expenses are not covered by Occasionall.
How much will I get paid?
We are proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer. All staff are now paid from £12ph, exceeding the new Living Wage.
Tax may be deducted from your payslip. If you have any issues or questions regarding tax, please contact HMRC.
When do I get paid?
We pay on a fortnightly basis. Once you are booked onto an event, you will receive further information with exact pay dates.
Do Occasionall Staff have a pension scheme?
Anyone that meets the following criteria will automatically be enrolled on to our pension scheme (provided by The People’s Pension): you earn over £192 per week (£833 per month), you are aged 22 or over and you are under state pension age.
If you do not meet the requirements but would like to join the compani’s pension scheme or do meet the requirements and would like to opt-out, please contact payroll@theoccasionall.group.
How do I cancel my shift?
If you are unable to attend your agreed shift you must cancel your shift on the app.
If the cancellation is within 24 hours of your shift call Occasionall Office - 01144 055 044 - to speak with our team.
We review each cancellation on a case by case basis. If cancellations reasons aren’t deemed as appropriate, or are frequent, you may have your profile suspended.
I am under 18 years old, can I still work?
Though we do value the positive work ethic, unfortunately we do require staff to be 18+ in most instances. With staff welfare being vital to our company, we want to ensure all staff are suitably looked after.
This is occasionally possible when you can work closely with a Family Member or Elected Guardian. This is indicative to each show.
What jobs are available?

Can I work with a friend?
We encourage staff referrals. Friends are always welcome and you are able to work closely with your pals as long as there are positions available.
