What We Do
We offer temporary work at all occasions including conferences, concerts, sporting events, and more.
Occasionall Staff was formed in April 2024, off the back of Festivall Staff’s success. As Festivall Staff grew over time, the variety of our events grew with us. This meant that we were providing our services to clients who weren’t in the festival or festive realm. We, therefore, established Occasionall Staff to allow us to provide the best service possible to our clients and to offer our staff the opportunity to work at a whole new variety of events. Between Occasionall Staff and Festivall Staff, our staff can work across the entire events industry, at all kinds of Occasions!
Our Values
-
Staff Welfare always has and always will be top of the Occassionall agenda. That’s why for every 3 hours our staff work, they accrue 15 minutes of break time. We’re also proud to say that all of our full time team are now Mental Health First Aiders.
-
Being green has always been close to our heart; both internally and externally. That’s why we offset our company emissions by planting a tree for every member of the Occasionall team. We also aim to recruit for our events locally to ensure that travel is reduced as much as possible.
-
We know that money is a motivation for our staff so we’ve paid the Real Living Wage since we started. It is our belief that a team with higher quality remuneration are in a position to provide an even better experience to our clients. From April 2024, we will pay from £12ph outside of London, and from £13.15ph within London - the first time we’ve exceeded the Living Wage.

Event Staffing Manager
What is the one, most important thing you have learnt from the events industry?
The most prominent thing I have learnt since being in the Events Industry is that you really do have to love Events! You have to have the passion and want to really go for it. The most important thing you can do is say yes!
Gabriella Cliffe
Staffing and Content Coordinator
If you had to choose, do you prefer concerts or sports events?
As someone who started in sports events and moved to live music, it’s almost impossible to choose! If I had to, I love the special atmosphere at concerts when everyone is dancing around together.
Evan Morgan
Marketing Manager
What is the best marketing campaign you have seen for an event and why?
The best marketing campaign within events that I have seen was the Welsh football “Together Stronger” campaign in 2015/2016. The campaign truly captured and inspired the nation and created a strong connection between the team and fans, meaning that attendances went from being extremely poor to sell outs in every game.

People and Culture Manager
What is your favourite part about the people who work within the events industry?
It’s hard to answer this without making generalisations but I'm going to! It's one of the industries where if you don’t have a good balance of polar opposite personalities your event will not be as successful - but one thing the majority of people in the industry have in common? I think that's passion and comradery, even when times get tough and someone is ready to throw in the towel we always power through and come out the other side helping each other through.

Event Staffing Assistant
Which occasion (i.e. Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Birthday, New Year, etc) is your favourite to celebrate and why?
When it comes to occasions to celebrate, Easter and my birthday both always fall together just before the big summer season. It's a great time to celebrate with family and friends before things start to get busy on-site.
Joana Sterecki
Event Staffing Assistant
Which event that you attended inspired you to go into the events industry and why?
After attending my very first festival when I was 16 years old, I knew there would be many more in my future. It was after my first time at Boomtown Festival that I was amazed by all the work and effort that went into making it such an experience for its attendees, that I then became more invested in the industry. When then looking at different university courses, I came across Events Management and saw the option of festival management as a module and I was instantly sold.

What is one piece of advice you would give event professionals trying to get into the industry?
Without being too cliche; just do it! There’s no right or wrong way into the industry, but you won’t get into it without taking that first step. So whether you’re volunteering at a local event, signing up for one of the great events on our job market, or getting hands-on experience through an apprenticeship or work placement - there’s nothing that quite rivals getting stuck into it.
